The Himalayan Viewpoint
Where snow peaks appear at an arms length, where the birds come chirping to wake you up, where the mesmerizing rhododendron (or Buransh as referred to locally) can be seen on every canvas, you know you are in Chaukori. A wanderer’s dream, where nature can be seen in its various manifestations. Most famous for its spectacular 300 km-wide panoramic view of Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot and Panchchuli, Chaukori also has the Mahakali river as one boundary which is also the Indo-Nepal International border.
The glory of the snow crowned Himalayan range reaches its pinnacle when the sun rays turn them into gold in the morning and red-orange sky at sunset.
