Enchanted hues…

Extraordinary in its palette, the hypnotic blues of Pangong Tso will bewitch one and all. Partly in Tibet, this lake resonates in local folklore and in innumerable tales, such as those from the world of Bollywood fiction – many local dhabas are named after characters from the popular film, 3 Idiots. The snowy mountains gather around Pangong, stark in their aridness and ancient in their gaze. It is easy to end up sitting on the banks for hours, feeding on the splendour of the spectacle in front, with nothing to distract you except for occasional herds of Pashmina sheep or local horses.
