Satpura

Serenity and Wildness……..

The exotic oasis known as the Satpura National Park sits squarely in the middle of hot central India. Standing at the crossroads of north, south, east, and west, this dense, forested region is home to an astonishing spectrum of fauna, including the tiger, Gaur (Indian bison), sloth bear, Chausingha (four-horned antelope), Nilgai antelope, Rhesus macaque, wolves, hyenas, many species of deer, and a number of birds that migrate through the park on their way to the Western Ghats. Shaped over the centuries by streams that have carved out an incredible landscape of hills and ravines, the Satpura National Park defies your expectations – its grandness provides a sense of serenity unusual for a national park. In order to truly experience the magic of the region, you need to explore its shadowy interiors on foot, on elephant back, in a jeep safari, or in a canoe!
