Pangong Tso
Very early breakfast and proceed to Pangong Tso Lake.
Pangong Tso Lake, is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m (14,270 ft). It is 134 km (83 mi) long and extends from India to Tibet. Approximately 60% of the length of the lake lies in Tibet.
It is one of the most beautiful places in India but the serene tranquil Pangong Tso Lake is not just a tourist’s paradise. It is also a geologist’s domain.
Due to the saltiness in the water of the lake, there is very less micro-vegetation. There are no fish or other aquatic life in the lake, except for some small crustaceans. However, numerous ducks and gulls over and on the lake surface can be spotted in plenty.
The beautiful Pangong Tso Lake was featured in the climax of the blockbuster movie ‘3 Idiots’ in the year 2010.
The views on the way are something to die for. The dry desert and the sheer rocky mountains add to the mystery.

Arrive Manali and check in to the hotel.

The day is yours to relax and soak in the beauty of the valley with its rivers and steams.
Evening proceed to the popular market to get the vibe of the town before getting together to a relaxed dinner.

Keylong
Morning breakfast.
Proceed to Keylong in Lahaul via Rohtang Pass at 13,050 ft.
Keylong is a beautiful town in Lahaul & Spiti district En-route you will be crossing Rahala water Fall, Marhi and Khoksar. The region is exciting, primitive mountainous and delightful.
Lunch at Sissu waterfall / Shiti dhaar. Spend a day full of adventure.
On arrival check in at Hotel. Evening is free to enjoy the surroundings and the view.

Keylong

We shall take a short trek to Sissu Waterfall (Palden Lhamo Dhar) OR Shiti Dhaar-glacier. En-route we will cross a small bridge over Chandra River and reach Shiti region/Village. One can see the local farms and farming lifestyle, as these people do not stay in this village during winters.
Visit Mrikuladevi Temple, This Kali temple looks wholly unimposing from the outside with an old looking wood-tiled ‘conical’ roof and simple walls. However, inside are some beautiful and intricate deodar-wood carvings depicting scenes from Hindu epics. It is believed that the temple was constructed from a block of wood by Pandavas of the Mahabharata fame.
‘Trilokinath’ is one of the names of the Hindu god, Shiva, meaning the “Lord of the Three Worlds”. but local tradition clearly states that it was originally a Buddhist viharaor monastery, although nothing remains of the original building.

Proceed to Sarchu. En-route enjoy the natural beauty of Lahaul Valley pass through Keylong, Jispa, Darcha and cross Baralacha la (pass)- (16020 ft).

Leh

Proceed to Leh via Sumdo and Chuma – Thang (3965M). Enroute stop at Mahe Bridge from where the road crosses to the south bank of the river by a bridge; it then follows the un-metalled road through Sumdo village up to join Puga stream.
The drive from Sumdo to Mahe follows a narrow mountain gorge through green bushes. En-route drive past beautiful villages of Nurnis, Kery and Kadgam. The Jeep drive through this part of the Indus valley is quite flat without much uphill or downhill drive, it is a wide-open valley.
Arrive Leh, one of the coldest deserts in the world. Check into Hotel and relax.

Visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. In the evening you may shop in the local bazar and pick up souvenirs for your loved ones.
