Take the temple tour of the historic Meenakshi Temple complex. Proceed for a visit to Madurai’s wholesale banana market ( Apparently, 16 varieties of bananas are sold there) followed by the Jasmine flower market. Madurai is famed for its jasmine plantation. An average of 2,000 farmers sell flowers daily at the flower market.

Proceed by surface to Pondicherry. Along the way visit the Brihadeeswara Temple at Tanjore, one of the tallest in India. Study of Oriental history is incomplete without the inclusion of the Tanjore temples that resonate the rich legacy of the Chola Kings. Made in granite(which is not found in the area) a 100 years ago, one of the highlights is the depiction of the carved nartakis or dancers, as it was the melting point for dancers, musicians and artists who offered their talent to Shiva.

Puducherry
Morning breakfast.
Pondicherry is famous for doing nothing. But for art enthusiasts we recommend a relaxed walk around the French Quarter for the Art galleries, Boutique shops and cafes, which is straight out of a French Town.
After settling down go on a memorable trip to the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, the international city of Auroville, and the French boulevard town with its French heritage.

Mahabalipuram

Proceed by surface to Mahabalipuram. Arrive and check into Hotel.
Proceed for a short visit to the age old temples ruins that are a UNESCO World Heritage site.

We use Toyota Innovas, by default for all travel. Please check with us for upgrade to a Luxury SUV, or also for the option of the costs without transport.
